Jewellery & Metal Panel Discussion: Social Narratives
Jewellery has a long history of worn objects signifying political stance; the green and purple jewelleries of the suffragettes, yearly displays of red and white poppies and the continuous creation of badges and pins supporting a variety of social and political stances. This discussion panel will look through the practice of our 2020 graduates to expand on and open up discourse around the historical and socio-political possibilities of jewellery and object.
