This body of work explores a less wasteful approach to a design process, and how this can inform materially the final outcome. It explores ways to engage with fashion beyond a traditional understanding of what it means to dress someone.

I work with the materials that are often already around us, such as magazines, papers and cardboard. My process begins with a focus on the development and recording of making, moving quickly onwards in an intuitive way. Materials are used resourcefully, they are kept in circulation within my design process for as long as possible. Often the image of a piece is its lasting mark. This project expands to the space around the body, exploring how light, shadows and objects can be dressed with and within, suggesting alternative ways to engage with fashion.
