For the development of this project I created a questionnaire from 40 people about isolation, and used the information gathered to inform my work. This is functional homewear.
A “lazy” person, designing for “lazy” functions.
This is a special collection for OTAKU people. I started this project because I am very calm and have fun when I am at home, in fact I can't do anything without my bed. The audience, for me, is someone who uses the home for self-healing. My project is about building one new OTAKU culture. The original OTAKU community in Japan is made up of people who like to play computer games and watch cartoons at home. Recently there are more and more Asian communities who stay at home to relax and have fun. Due to the C-19 virus, yet more people now have to socially distance and self-isolate.
