As for me, to practice is to change; to change is to be renewed; to be new is to be better.

My primary means of research and development is through drawing. My interest is in the relationship between human beings and faith (with a particular focus on Christianity) is heavily indebted to reading the Bible and considering the kinds of images and emotive responses that it can conjure. The practices of Bill Viola, William Blake, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Kathe Kollwitz, and Albrecht Dürer have been particularly fascinating and important to me, shifting my own perceptions of faith and making work.

During the two years of study at RCA, I have used mono-print, etching, sign pen drawing, and 3D- print to develop and share ideas. The 3D-prints I consider as a kind of drawing, abstracting the imagery I have developed in other media and making reference to stained glass as well as developments in current abstract painting. They are vibrant works that attempt to agitate the figuration found in my drawing and add another dimension to the practice, find another way to access it, they are small positive moments.
