The Royal College of Art holds a dear place in my heart and I am honoured to be counted as an alumni. Art is life. And yet, art and culture seem to come last in today’s new world. This is what makes the Royal College of Art so important to me. It brings us together. It pushes us to go further. It encourages us to be our best. Most importantly, it brings hope.
Alber Elbaz
Alber Elbaz
Alber Elbaz is an esteemed Israeli fashion designer who was notably Creative Director of Lanvin from 2001 until 2015.
He is currently Head of Creation at AZFashion in Paris, France. Prior to his time at Lanvin, he was Artistic Director at Yves Saint Laurent from 1998-2000 and Creative Director at Guy Laroche from 1996-1998. Before that, he was Head Designer at Geoffrey Been in New York from 1989-1996.
Elbaz studied at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Tel-Aviv from 1982-1986.
