School of Design
Introduction
Dean, School of Design – Paul Anderson
The showcasing of graduate projects is an important aspect of the RCA experience, part of a history and reputation our students feel enormously proud of.
At times of great change, we are all continuing to innovate with new challenges in front of us. This moment is an important snapshot of a point of a journey in a highly personal and creative process for our students. Their work highlights learning and discovery within a cultural community at a particular moment celebrating many amazing achievements across all our disciplines engaging with industry, emerging technologies, prospective employers, partners and networks. For our students it is also a celebration for friends, family and supporters and a public confirmation of the master of their discipline.
As the world grapples with rapid urbanisation, the effects of climate change and the recent and ongoing global pandemic our RCA students from across the world are forming the next generation of coherent planet thinkers. Creative and innovative designers developing regenerative solutions, intelligent systems, new materials, social change and human centered thinking. The future of work, healthcare, travel, food production and our environment are just some of the themes that we share across the whole institution. Enjoy discovering RCA2020.
